Reason #4: Salty Dog Saloon.
I posted about this recently @ http://bullblacknova.blogspot.com/2010/08/electric-picnic-salty-dog-saloon.html so I won't be going into too much detail here.
In short, it's a weather beaten shipwreck. In the middle of the woods. (Think the Black Rock from Lost...)
Performing on the ship (Oh yes - that's right! It's a stage!) include the likes of Seasick Steve, the Mighty Stef and Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club.
Seasick Steve is well known for his sublime live shows (and damn near everyone has seen him somewhere - he crops up eeeeverywhere!) - they lend a new lease of life the his form of folk and blues.... I think the combination of the blues and a pirate ship might just be too perfect...
I, for one, cannot wait.
