Music News: Brandon Flowers Solo Album & Line-Up for Cork X SW

Said I'd do both of these in the one post as the majority of people would have heard about them already.

Earlier this year, I mentioned that the Killers had decided to go "on hiatus" for an undefined period of time. Rumours flooded that frontman Brandon Flowers was going to go solo, and after a few weeks of denials this was confirmed. In the past 24 hours, it has been confirmed that this album will be entitled Flamingo and will be produced by Daniel Lanois, who has worked with U2 among others. Flowers, in an interview with NME, also discussed how he wished the album was a Killers release, rather than a solo one.

As for CXSW, the annual Skibbereen event will take place on July 31st and August 1st and, as previously reported, will be headlined by Bonnie "Prince" Billy. Tickets priced at €55.

Joining Bonnie "Prince" Billy at the event will be:
Martha Wainwright
John Spillane
Mick Flannery
The Frank & Walters
Interference
Hot House Flowers [I didn't realise they were still going!]
Future Trad Collective
Luka Bloom
Neon Flea Circus

More acts will be announced soon.
