One of the most hyped new bands of this year, Surfer Blood have finally confirmed an album release. Their debut, Astro Coast, will be released in the UK on June 7th. It will be accompanied by a limited edition 7" of the single, Swim.

I had the idea in my head that these guys were in the same vein as Mgmt for some reason - not entirely wide of the mark, but they are heavily in debted to Vampire Weekend too it seems, while I've noticed a similarity to the Cribs too in parts.
