Preview: Harmonic

Tonight, Friday June 25th, will see the inaugural Harmonic music event take place in Cork as part of the Live at the Marquee Festivities. Harmonic is an attempt (and a valiant one at that!) by the organisers of Live at the Marquee to bring big name alternative acts to Ireland. Typically, the only way to see acts of this genre and calibre is to travel to Dublin or to pay astronomical festival prices.

Instead, the people of Cork (and anyone willing to travel south!) will be treated to the wonderful quartet of Villagers, Camera Obscura, Midlake and Grizzly Bear for just €35.

Stage Times:

6pm: DOORS OPEN

6.30pm-7.15pm: VILLAGERS

7.45pm-8.30pm: CAMERA OBSCURA

9.00pm-10.15pm: MIDLAKE

10.45pm-12.00am: GRIZZLY BEAR

Check out a sample from each of the four below. Villagers are expected to draw a huge crowd following the success of Becoming A Jackal, while Midlake and Grizzly Bear had major success with albums in recent years too. Camera Obscura will probably be the least attractive act on the bill, but they are a fun, summery act - well worth a look. Especially at this price...
