Oxegen: Vodafone Stage & Heineken Green Spheres

The last two days have seen the announcements of the Vodafone & Heineken Green Spheres stages for this summer's Oxegen festival.

Heineken Green Spheres:
  • Friday: God Is An Astronaut, Kassidy, Delorentos, The Coral, Ellie Goulding, Empire of the Sun, Goldfrapp, David Guetta.
  • Saturday: Panama Kings, TBC, Wallis Bird, Cathy Davey, La Roux, Gossip, Hot Chip, Calvin Harris.
  • Sunday: General Fiasco, Diana Vickers, Kate Nash, We Are Scientists, The Courteeners, Jamie T, Ocean Colour Scene, Mumford & Sons.

Vodafone Stage:

  • Friday: Fox Avenue, Drake, Republic of Loose, Plan B, Scouting For Girls, Groove Armada, Fat Boy Slim
  • Saturday: Kids In Glass Houses, Two Door Cinema Club, Rise Against, The Cribs, Editors, Doves, Black Eyed Peas.
  • Sunday: The Knux, Professor Green, D12, Joshua Raidin, Temper Trap, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Prodigy.

Quite a bit of discontent from what I hear - the clashes this year are out of control. You've got David Guetta, Fat Boy Slim and possibly Jay-Z all performing at the same time, Eminem and the Prodigy are likely to clash, as are the Black Eyed Peas and Calvin Harris.

As yet, the only one I'm worrying about really is Broken Social Scene. They are to headline the Red Bull Music Academy on Sunday - potentially clashing with the Prodigy.

All that has yet to be announced are the Main Stage acts, and the following are the ones are those who are not yet confirmed. Arcade Fire, Muse and Eminem are guaranteed to be headline acts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday...

  • Friday: The Coronas, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, Stereophonics, Jay-Z, Arcade Fire.
  • Saturday: The Stranglers, Amasis, Dizzee Rascal, Biffy Clyro, Florence & the Machine, Kasabian, Muse.
  • Sunday: Earth, Wind & Fire, Filthy Dukes, Saw Doctors, Hilltop Hoods, Newton Faulkner, Bell X1, Faithless, Paulo Nutini, Eminem.
