Apologies for my appalling attention toward blogging in recent weeks - struggling for time. Hopefully that should change soon...
Anyway back to today. As recommended by O Emperor, I decided to check out Waterford native Deaf Joe and was blown away by what awaited me. Joe Harney is minimalist folk artist, and one of the finest I've come across in this country in a while (a huge complement given the plethora of similar acts doing the rounds lately!)
The man himself claims he wants to write songs for the listener to get lost in, and judging from the several tracks streaming on his MySpace he has achieved this admirably. A wonderful sound, mesmerising and euphoric. Each time you listen, you will discover more and more to love.
