New Music From Wilco AND Blur...

Well... Not yet unfortunately.

BUT! Fantastic news with regard to two great bands...

Last night, Wilco played on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson (I wonder if Mr. Tubridy could get them over here?), performing the track Deeper Down from the simply gorgeous Wilco (The Album). However, the more exciting part of this post is the fact that bassist John Stirratt recently told Australian website FasterLouder that the band are currently writing their new album and plan to record it later this year. He said he expects the record to be "more jarring" than the last. Sounds good!

Today, meanwhile, the legendary Damon Albarn confirmed that he is open to releasing more material with Blur. The band's recent release Fool's Day was their first since 2003. "I'm definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches. I love the no-pressure aspect. We can't do it all the time, so I don't want anyone to think there's an album coming soon, it's not possible, but we've got songs!" he said.

Great stuff!
