I mentioned the Indiependence music festival a few weeks ago. Held annually in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, it is growing in esteem and is rapidly becoming one of the best of the smaller music festivals in Ireland.

The British gloom rockers bring their brand of post-punk to Mitchelstown on Sunday August 1st. Their debut, To Lose My Life, was a huge hit with critics and fans, and their live reputation has been growing ever since. They were last in Ireland in the Opera House in Cork last November - a stunning show.
