Cork X South West Music Festival

The fourth annual Cork X SW Music Festival takes place in Skibbereen, Co. Cork on August 1st this year.

Last year, we saw a great collective in tow: The Waterboys, Lisa Hannigan, Jerry Fish, John Spillane and FRED headlining, with the likes of Villagers, the Guggenheim Grotto and Low Mountain further down the bill.

So far, just two acts have been confirmed for 2010: Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Brian Deady. Understandably, there is considerable excitement with regard to the former! We have also been promised that the long wait for the announcement of more acts will be worth it...

No details of ticket sales have yet been confirmed for the one day event, but will most likely be available from tickets.ie, Cork tickets (now trading above the former premises of Plug'd Records) as well as local outlets and on the gate on the day - though it is better to purchase in advance in case the event sells out.
Last year tickets were €50 - a pretty good way to spend it if ya ask me!

  2. Thanks for that! I misread the page I got my info from. Corrected above anyway.
